Aquamarine chalk on paper 38cm x 53cm This piece shows the daily lives of two boys catching fish in rural Cambodia using traditional tools. Despite their young age, it is evident that they are sharing their family burden. The warmth of their bodies contrasts with the coolness of the sea, illustrating the harsh environment in which they work. This scene ties into my background, as I am immersed in Cambodian culture as part of the discovery of my Cambodian heritage. |
